SUNS WIN ON WALK OFF HOMER IN DERBY 2-2, 4-3

The Pittsfield Suns (16-15-1) in a true, blue, pitching dual got a walk-off home run in the home run derby against the Worcester Bravehearts (14-16-1).

Suns were on the board first with a 2 RBI single by Kevin Donati in the 3rd.

The Bravehearts did grab a run off John Friday's bat with an RBI single in the 4th.

They then tied it up in the 8th with another RBI single by Friday.

After the 10th, Joseph Caico hit 3 homers in the derby, but Andre Marrero walked off the Suns with 4.

No pitchers received a decision except for Jensen Lewis receiving a hold and Craig Lacey getting a blown save.

The Elser Animal Control Pest Player of the Game went to Jordan Muchin, who pitched a quality start pitching 6 innings, giving up 1 earned run off 5 hits, 2 walks, and 5 K's.

The Pittsfield Suns travel to Portsmouth, NH to take on the Seacoast Mavericks. First pitch is scheduled for 7 PM.
