Suns season sets with Silver Knights win 5-2

The (4) Pittsfield Suns hosted the defending FCBL Champion (5) Nashua Silver Knights and fell in the wild card 1 game playoff by a score of 5-2, ending the Suns' season.

Nashua scored first on a passed ball that Ryan Sullivan scored on. They tacked on another with an RBI single by Anthony Meduri.

Suns would tie it up with a Conor Moriarty 2-run blast to left field in the 5th.

Nashua, however, would shut the door in the 7th with a Tom Blandini solo shot and 2 separate RBI doubles by Cam Cook and Anthony Meduri.

Cam Cruz received the win. Austin Wendt was saddled with the loss. Jason Johndrow got a hold, whilst Kevin Murphy got the save.

The Elsner Animal Control Pest Player of the Game went to Conor Moriarty, who went 2-3 with a 2 run homer and a walk.

The Pittsfield Suns would like to thank everyone who supported the team this season. We look forward to providing more family friendly baseball action in 2018. We will see you next season! Go Suns!!
