Suns Headed to Playoffs!

Suns Set Team Record for Wins, Head into the Postseason

The Pittsfield Suns' regular season has come to a close. Which means just one thing: playoffs!

With a franchise-record 28 wins this summer, the Suns qualified for the postseason for the third season in a row and the sixth time in the team’s eight-year history.

The Suns open the playoffs Monday night on the road, when they travel to Worcester to take on the Bravehearts. Game time is 7:05 PM. Fans can follow the action on Pointstreak, or catch the Worcester broadcast stream on their Facebook page.

If the Suns win tonight and advance to the second round, playoff baseball will be coming to Wahconah Park! The second-round series will be a best-of-three contest against either the Brockton Rox or Bristol Blues. The series schedule would be:

Game 1

Tuesday, Aug. 6

at Brockton/Bristol

Game 2

Wednesday, Aug. 7

Game 3 (if necessary)

Thursday, Aug. 8

at Brockton/Bristol

Tickets for the Wednesday home game are already on sale, and at a great price, too! General admission tickets are just $1, and you can step up to box seats for only $5. All-You-Can-Eat tickets are also available.

Should the Suns prevail in the second round as well, they would advance to the Futures League Championship Series. The finals are a best-of-three series that will likely begin on Friday.
